  1. I’ve only heard the first one. But, I’m an old fart (36). Here’s mine, and I can’t really set them in any specific order.Slayer, Tarja Turunen, Les Claypool, Jaco Pastorius, Cachao.

  2. @GuitarKat93 – They’re all different genres. You haven’t heard of Slayer?!?!?!?!?!?  I can understand not  knowing about the rest, but SLAYER? Really?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0XEm3SpyZkThey've been around since the early 1980’s. And in recent years, they’ve been in the media enough thanks to being part of ‘The Big Four’ tours. The Big Four are Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and Slayer.  They’ve been on Jimmy Kimmel and such. **** Moving on…Cachao was a Cuban bassist, arranger, composer…http://unstoppable-inner-strength.xanga.com/732794585/happy-birthday-cachao/*** Tarja Turunen sang with Nightwish from their beginning in the late 1990’s until around 2006. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W39WaGTPnvgHere she is doing a song from her latest solo album:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-z5d-hTmrIIf neither of those make the hairs on your arm stand on end…I don’t know what can. *** Les Claypool is a bass genius, singer, and songwriter madman. He’s fronted Primus since the late 1980’s, and done a lot of solo albums and projects. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOXa5jvWVQ8  –> that instrument that’s being played when the vid starts, it’s a bass, and it’s the lead instrument of the music. The OPPOSITE of what the bass normally does. He was doing that shit in the lat 1980’s. Way ahead of his time. *** Jaco Pastorius  was a jazz/fusion bassist. Considered by many the greatest electric bass player to have ever lived.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I63bOi477cA   –> that’s a song written by him, performed with the band Weather Report. Well, I hope you learned something today.

  3. @Unstoppable_Inner_Strength – AWESOME!!!!First of all….SLAYER!!! Ohmahgawsh! I already love Metallica, so I knew about their tour…but I just never took the time to listen to Slayer until today. THANK YOU. I don’t really watch Jimmy Kimmel much though….I’m more of a Jimmy Fallon fan. XDCachao…I love bass. πŸ™‚ catchy.Tarja Turunen….I’ve heard of Nightwish before, in a vague way, through my love of Evanescence….I’ve seen the name pop up now and again, but alas, never took the time to listen. The second song you linked me to….just….wow. O.O Amazing..the bass and her voice…just….no words….Les Claypool. LOL. That song!! XDJaco Pastorius. My dad used to listen to this song on a regular basis, I just never knew what it was. So I guess now I know. :)I take it you like bass as much as I do? Lol.
